UT President Joe DiPietro Presents to Lawmakers

Lawmakers extended the sunset for the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees for one year this week, based on a state audit with no findings or recommendations, meaning a clean bill of management health for the UT System.

The result of this audit is a major accomplishment made possible by the hard work of all UT employees, said UT President Joe DiPietro in the hearing.

While lawmakers recognized the positive outcome of the audit and praised UT for its accomplishment, the conversation nevertheless focused on a few social issues that have become news headlines over the past two years.
