On Friday afternoon, House Speaker Cameron Sexton and Lt. Governor Randy McNally announced the closure of Cordell Hull Legislative Office Building due to public health concerns surrounding the coronavirus. The announcement indicated the only persons with access to the building will now be members of the General Assembly, their staff, and members of the media. It is unclear at this time how this will impact General Assembly operations and the remainder of the session.
Advocates can tune in to session and committee hearings streamed live here. The UT Government Relations team will continue to engage lawmakers on legislation and budget matters through phone calls and electronic communications.
